The aim of this workshop – part of the 15th Conference of the International Society for Utilitarian Studies (ISUS.XV) – is to explore Derek Parfit’s wide-ranging, original and inspiring contributions to philosophy (moral theory, metaethics, the foundations of normativity and rationality, population ethics, collective action problems, personal identity) and to discuss contemporary issues emanating from his writings.
