With a lecture on “Two lines of tradition within the utilitarian tradition: What explains their division into radicals and conservatives? Discussed on the basis of the reformer John Stuart Mill and the conservative Henry Sidgwick.” Cyriak Schmitz has successfully completed his PhD. The dissertation, entitled Utilitarismus und moralischer Fortschritt. Eine philosophiehistorische Analyse is open access published.
The PhD was supervised by Christian Seidel. Michael Schefczyk was second reviewer, Gregor Betz member of the examination committee.
